Croissant

Share your page

Ideas for sharing your Croissant link with your audience: social bios, videos, newsletters, websites and project READMEs, plus how to ask for support.

Updated

Your page only works if people can find it. The good news is that you do not need to do much: put your link where your audience already is, and mention it now and then.

Before you share

Where to put your link

Social profiles

Add croissant.beffa.xyz/yourname to your bio or link list on the platforms you use. This is the place people look when they want to support you.

Videos and streams

Add the link to your video descriptions, or to a panel on your stream. A short mention at the end, such as "if this helped, you can buy me a croissant", is often enough.

Newsletters and blogs

Put the link in your newsletter footer or at the end of your posts. Readers who enjoyed something are the most likely to say thanks.

Websites and projects

If you make open source software, templates or free tools, add the link to your website, your README or your project's support section.

How to ask

People tip when they feel they got something of value and the ask is easy. A few things help:

  • Be specific. Say what tips go towards, like hosting costs or time spent on the next tutorial.
  • Keep it light. A croissant is a small thank-you, not a big commitment.
  • Ask at the right moment. Right after you have helped someone works better than at the start.
  • Say thanks publicly. Replying to messages on your page shows new visitors that real people support you. See Reply to supporters.

What supporters see

Supporters choose how many croissants to buy, add an optional name and message and pay through Stripe Checkout. They do not need an account. If you want to send them a guide, point them to For supporters.
