How to tip a creator on Croissant: choose how many croissants, add a name and message, keep it private if you like and pay securely with Stripe.

Croissant lets you thank a creator with a small tip, counted in croissants. You do not need an account, and it takes about a minute.
How to tip
1. Choose how many croissants
On the creator's page, pick 1, 3 or 5 croissants, or enter a custom number from 1 to 100. The creator sets the price of one croissant, and the total is shown before you pay.
2. Add your name and a message (optional)
You can leave your name and a short message for the creator. Both are optional. If you leave the name empty, your tip appears without a name.
3. Decide who sees your message
Messages are public by default and appear on the creator's page. If you would rather only the creator sees it, mark the message as private.
4. Pay with Stripe
You are taken to Stripe Checkout to pay. You can pay by card, and wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay appear when Stripe offers them on your device. Croissant never sees your card details.
After paying, you return to the creator's page and see their thank-you message.
Do I need an account?
No. Supporters do not sign up or log in. You just pay through Stripe.
Where does my money go?
Your tip goes to the creator's Stripe account. Croissant keeps 1% and Stripe takes a processing fee; the rest goes to the creator. See Fees for an example.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every tip is a one-off payment. You will not be charged again unless you choose to tip again.
Replies from the creator
Creators can reply to messages. Replies to public messages appear on their page, under your message.
Made a mistake?
If you paid the wrong amount or did not mean to pay, contact the creator first. You can also contact support with the date, amount and creator's page, and we can look into a refund. See Refunds and disputes.

›Do I need an account to tip?
No. You choose your croissants, add an optional name and message and pay through Stripe Checkout. No sign-up needed.
›Will the creator see my card details?
No. Payments are handled by Stripe. Neither the creator nor Croissant sees your card number.
›Can I keep my message private?
Yes. Mark your message as private and only the creator will see it. It won't appear on their public page.
›Will I be charged again?
No. Tips are one-off payments. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
