Delete your account

You can delete your Croissant account yourself, any time, from your dashboard.

Pause instead of delete

If you only want a break, you do not need to delete anything. Turn off the published toggle in the page editor in your dashboard. Your page stops being visible, and you can turn it back on whenever you like. See Customize your page.

How to delete your account

1. Open your dashboard and go to Settings.
2. Find Delete account at the bottom.
3. Type your page link (the part after the slash, for example yourname) to confirm, then press Delete.

Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone. If you can't sign in any more, contact support and we will help.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted:

• your page is taken down and no longer accepts tips
• your profile details, such as display name, bio, images and settings, are removed
• your supporter history, messages and replies are removed from Croissant
• your sign-in is removed

What stays with Stripe

Your Stripe account is separate from Croissant. Stripe keeps its own records of payments, payouts and identity checks, as the law requires for payment providers. Deleting your Croissant account does not delete those records.

If you want to close your Stripe account too, do that through Stripe.

Before you delete

• Check your balance. Make sure any remaining money in your Stripe balance has been paid out to your bank.
• Tell your audience. Remove your Croissant link from your profiles, videos and website so people do not land on a missing page.
• Save anything you want to keep. Once deleted, your messages and replies cannot be recovered.

Your link

After deletion, your link is no longer tied to you. If you sign up again later, you may need to claim a new one.
