The short version
On a plain tip, Ko-fi's platform fee is lower than ours. Ko-fi takes 0%, Croissant takes 1%. On a $5 tip that's a 5 cent difference.
So why would you pick Croissant? Because it's smaller on purpose. One fee, no paid plan, no shop, no upsell. Just a page and a button.
Where Ko-fi is better
Tips cost you nothing in platform fees. You only pay card processing.
It does a lot more. Shop, commissions and memberships are all built in.
It's well known. It has a large community and many supporters already know it.
Where Croissant is better
One fee for everything. 1% on every tip. No 5% that kicks in when you start selling, no monthly plan to remove it.
A quieter page. Your page shows you, your message and a button. Nothing else competes for attention.
Fast setup. Sign in with Google, pick a link and a price, connect Stripe.
How to decide
If you want the lowest possible fee on tips, Ko-fi wins. If you also want a shop or memberships, Ko-fi wins again.
If you want the simplest possible tip page and a 1% fee feels fair for that, try Croissant. The 1% is what keeps the servers running, and there's no plan to upsell you later. Read why Croissant exists or start your page.
